Our Food

Our food is made with love, considering food miles, availability, ethical production, as well as good honest flavour and texture. It’s food we love to eat and serve, that follows the seasons and harvests from our vegetable garden, and that of the farmers around us.


Our meat comes primarily from Downing’s Butchers in Tavistock, who have their own farms. Our fish comes primarily from Plymouth and Brixham fish markets.


We offer a small a la carte menu consisting of four starters, mains, and desserts, which change frequently.


The majority of our dishes are made from scratch and we’re happy to alter them, where possible, for special diets and fussy eaters. We always have gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options available and can create dishes for almost any diet required.


We also make our own baguettes and sourdough pizzas as an alternative to the main menu. Perfect if you fancy something a little lighter or to take away and enjoy at home.

Our Drinks

The majority of our drinks are local, including beers from nearby breweries and spirits from local distilleries. We generally steer clear of the big brands; this is because we believe in supporting smaller, artisan suppliers that offer better and more ethical products.


We have a small, hand-picked wine list that is primarily from Europe and is vegan and organic in nature. Again, there’s less of the generic styles you’ll find elsewhere and more about enjoying something new, interesting, and flavourful.
